Tattooing Minors?

We do tattoo people 16+ however there are stricter requirements.

  • Must have your parent or guardian present during appointment

    • IF bringing a legal guardian, you must provide paperwork proving that the individual is in fact your legal guardian

  • Both parent and minor need valid forms of government ID’s

    • i.e. driver’s license, passport, birth certificate, etc.

    • If you are bringing a Birth Certificate, then a form of pictured ID is also required. (ex. School/Gym ID)

Is there a deposit?

Yes! We ask our clients to provide an $80 non-refundable deposit. The 80$ will be subtracted from the final cost of the tattoo! The deposit just helps ensure commitment from both sides.

What is the preferred Payment Method

Cash, Venmo, or Zelle is preferred.

We do accept all major credit cards however there is a 3% transaction fee.

Can I get an estimated price of the piece?

Generally both Chani and Jon begin drawing the tattoo a couple days prior to an appointment so a good estimate is difficult. Rough estimates can be provided during your consultation* but a variety of factors could influence the final cost.

If you are concerned about price or have a budget, feel free to let us know!

*We cannot give an estimate for a large scale piece i.e. Back piece or Sleeve. We can try to give an estimate of total hours but this will come with a variety of caveats.

How should I prepare for my tattoo?

Do(s):

  1. Stay Hydrated: Drinking water ensures your skin is hydrated, which can make the tattooing process smoother.

  2. Get a Good Night's Sleep: Being well-rested will help you remain calm and still during your appointment.

  3. Eat a Balanced Meal: Eating before your appointment can prevent dizziness or fainting, especially during longer sessions.

  4. Wear Comfortable Clothing: Depending on the tattoo's placement, you'll want to wear clothes that provide easy access to that area and that you don't mind possibly getting ink on.

  5. Shower and Clean the Area: This not only is a courtesy to your artist but will ensure the skin is prepped and ready.

  6. Discuss Pain Management: If you're worried about pain, talk to your artist about any over-the-counter pain relievers you can take.

  7. Bring Snacks and Water: Especially for longer sessions, having some light snacks or sugary drinks can help keep your energy up.

  8. Arrive On Time: Respect the artist's schedule and arrive promptly.

Don’t(s):

  1. Overthink!: Mindset is extremely important heading into a tattoo.

  2. Avoid Alcohol and Drugs: They can thin your blood, which can lead to excessive bleeding during the tattoo process.

  3. Don't Allow Tattoo Region to get Sunburned: Tattooing sunburned skin is not recommended, and many artists will refuse to work on sunburned areas.

  4. Avoid Caffeine: It can increase your sensitivity to pain and make you jittery.

  5. Don't Bring a Crowd: While one friend for support can be helpful, too many people can be distracting to the artist.

  6. Avoid Blood Thinning Medications: Unless prescribed by your doctor, medications like aspirin can increase bleeding.

  7. Don't Haggle Over Price: Respect the artist's rates; remember that you're paying for their experience, the quality of their work, and the permanence of their art.

  8. Don't Forget ID: We require a legal form of identification to confirm age. Drivers License, Passport Photo, Government ID or a Birth Certificate with valid photo identification.

  9. Avoid Arriving Sick: If you're feeling under the weather, it's best to reschedule. Being tattooed can be a strain on your immune system.
